Get Registered!

Before your rental property can be lead inspected, it must first be registered with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).

Failure to comply with this law requiring registration can result in fines of $10 per rental unit  per day for every day since the law went into effect.  Currently, that would be over $19,000 per apartment unit. Please get in contact with MDE immediately if you haven't yet registered your properties with them, so that you can get registered and in compliance.  Their phone number is 800-776-2706

You can find out more about the registration process and other requirements for Maryland rental property owners at the Maryland Department of Environment site.  Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or need help in the process.
